The SNP2Prot Project at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg is offering 50 fully funded PhD and Postdoc positions in plant sciences. This interdisciplinary collaborative research initiative aims to understand the translation of genome-encoded sequence variation to structural, mechanistic, and functional proteoform diversity.

Research Focus:

  • Objective: SNP2Prot aims to elucidate how genetic variation translates into phenotypic traits through proteoform diversity.
  • Importance: Addressing global challenges such as food security, climate change, and sustainable plant production by leveraging genome information from wild, domesticated, and model plant species.
