AAP and BJP face to face over attack on Arvind Kejriwal, Pravesh Verma hits back at AAP leaders’ allegations

Aam Aadmi Party leaders had on Sunday alleged that Arvind Kejriwal was attacked by ‘Verma’s goons’ during the election campaign in the New Delhi constituency. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Pravesh Verma hit back at the allegations of AAP leaders. He accused the Aam Aadmi Party of fabricating a ‘fake’ story of the attack on Arvind Kejriwal.

Verma gave in writing at a press conference here on Sunday that he would defeat Kejriwal by 20,000 votes. The BJP leader claimed that Kejriwal is upset and restless as he has not fulfilled even one of the 10 promises made to the people of Delhi before the 2020 assembly elections and now women and youth are asking him questions.

Verma alleged, ‘A vehicle, in which Kejriwal himself was sitting, hit three local youths but AAP is creating a false story of attack on him (AAP convenor).’ The BJP candidate said that he has complained to the Election Commission and has also presented video evidence.

 

AAP has alleged that those who allegedly attacked Kejriwal were Verma’s ‘goons’. On this, the BJP candidate said that the entire one lakh voters of New Delhi constituency are his family. He said, ‘Kejriwal is saying that the people of the constituency are goons. For information about Kejriwal, the three local youths who were hit by his vehicle are also local voters who wanted to ask him about jobs.

Verma also claimed that during the campaign, Kejriwal’s convoy consists of 50 vehicles in which 350 Punjab Police personnel carrying AK 47 and other firearms accompany him. The BJP candidate said that Kejriwal has not been able to come out of his New Delhi constituency and is campaigning door-to-door. He claimed that due to poor response from the local people there is not a single photo or video available of his public meeting in the constituency.
