The number of attempt to murder in January 2025 decreased to 50, which is much lower than 71 cases in 2024 and 59 cases in 2023. According to the data, robbery cases were also seen to decline, 103 cases were registered in January 2025, while in 2024 146 and 111 cases were registered in 2023. Similarly, there was a huge decline in snatching incidents.

What does data say on rape, molestation cases?
According to the data, the number of cases of children’s protection (POCSO) Act from rape and sexual offenses in January 2025 was 101, which is less than 134 cases in 2024 and 140 cases in 2023. There was also a decrease in women tampering cases, 135 in 2024 and 110 cases were registered in 2025 compared to 163. 16 cases were registered in 2025, which were 24 in 2024 and 37 in 2023.

There were 566 cases of theft in January 2025, which is a slight shortage from 619 in 2024. The number of 2023 was also 619. In January 2025, 9 kidnapped cases were registered, which is less than 18 cases recorded in both 2024 and 2023.
