After all, why is the Hindu party ‘BJP’ revolving around Vaishyas and Brahmins in Ghaziabad? People are asking once again on the pretext of Ghaziabad Assembly by-elections. The same question was raised in the Lok Sabha elections 2024 also! Because in giving maximum importance to its Hindu support base in the metropolitan district, BJP has once again failed in satisfying the caste equation, despite this being an impenetrable fort of the party.
But why so? Are the leaders of other castes proving to be inferior in comparison to the ‘money power’ of the Vaishyas and the ‘administrative and organizational skills’ of the Brahmins? Or is it something else! Actually, General VK Singh, coming from Kshatriya community, had gained a good hold in Ghaziabad in the last 10 years and also promoted the councilors of his caste a lot. But suddenly he was pushed to the political margins because he could not establish better coordination between Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and PM Narendra Modi.
Recently, the way he has said that there is a conspiracy with the PMO regarding the cancellation of his ticket, his chances in the Ghaziabad Sadar by-election have also been destroyed! In fact, it is said in politics that big leaders like only two types of people – either you are a dedicated and self-devoted worker, or you are a scoundrel. Because they play a direct and indirect role in everything from party expansion to election victory.
Read this also: There is nepotism in politics but leaders do not shy away from confronting the family for the sake of politics.
Apart from this, in the kite flying that often happens at high positions in the party, only the above mentioned types of leaders prove to be trustworthy. Because the leaders who have even a small support base in the councilor constituency, assembly constituency or parliamentary constituency, by their very nature, make eye contact with the big leaders from time to time, due to which the leader who keeps pushing them back and forth remains the big leader.
In BJP’s politics, whether it is Union Home Minister Amit Shah or Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, there are no exceptions to this. Therefore, keep understanding the checkmate game of Ghaziabad BJP, whose real empire is some hidden master linked to RSS. The capital of Uttar Pradesh may be Lucknow, but Ghaziabad-Gautam Buddha Nagar is considered the capital of political workers, from where there is a lot of donations to the inside house and also the administrative approach, which is considered like fertilizer for politics.
It is believed that due to its proximity to Delhi, the leader who establishes his roots here automatically spreads throughout the country, because Delhi-NCR is considered as Little India. Since Rajnath Singh has a strong hold on both these cities, even after 10 years, Amit Shah is now balancing everyone, that too as per his own, so that there is no challenge to his rule in the post Modi period.
Therefore, it is natural to raise questions on ticket distribution in Uttar Pradesh, which has become a laboratory for BJP’s politics. It is being told that the purpose of every decision being taken here is to weaken Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has become a big face of BJP by joining RSS and is a strong contender for the post of PM in 2029, due to which he will become less powerful in the eyes of Amit Shah. Are rattling. On his instructions, Deputy Chief Minister KP Maurya keeps putting obstacles in Yogi’s path. Especially in Ghaziabad district which is called the fort of BJP.
It is discussed that first the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2022, then the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation elections 2022, then the Lok Sabha elections 2024, and now the way tickets have been distributed in the Assembly by-elections 2024, the question is rising in the minds of the party workers that ultimately Uttar Pradesh How far will the central BJP leadership stoop to weaken Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath? Why don’t the leaders who teach the lesson that if you divide all Hindus, you will be cut off, do not give equal representation or responsibility to the upper caste, OBC and Dalit communities in the distribution of tickets or party responsibilities? What is the justification for giving PM at the Center and Mayor and MP in the district from the same caste? Whereas due to the CM being of the same caste in the state, his caste got shunned from the Ghaziabad parliamentary seat.
The allegation is also that while the post of MP in Ghaziabad is revolving around the Kshatriya and Vaishya community, apart from one Jat, one Gurjar among the five MLAs of the party, Dalits, Yadavs, Luvkush etc. have not got any representation, while Apart from two Brahmin MLAs (Brahmin and Tyagi Brahmin), the third Brahmin leader Sanjeev Sharma, Metropolitan President, Ghaziabad BJP was also given ticket for Ghaziabad Vis by-election.
It is being said that he has the confidence of all the MLAs except MP Atul Garg, Cabinet Minister Sunil Sharma. Sanjeev Sharma had also once been a close confidante of former Union Minister of State and former Ghaziabad MP General VK Singh and with his blessings, he had reached the post of Metropolitan President for the first time. But due to the increasing distance between the then MP and the MLAs, he supported the MLAs, due to which he not only became the Mahanagar President for the second time, but was also successful in getting the MLA election ticket. In Ghaziabad, getting BJP ticket is considered a guarantee of victory.
The question is that there is a lot of anger in the Rajput community over the way General VK Singh, former Army Chief and former Army Chief, Ghaziabad MP and Union Minister, was dealt with during the first Lok Sabha elections in 2024. But due to his daughter Mrinalini Singh not being given ticket from Ghaziabad Sadar seat in UP Assembly by-election, Kshatriya community is now feeling completely neglected in the politics of the district.
At the same time, there is a discussion that in the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation elections 2022, the organizational anger and public dissatisfaction which grew due to the ticket of the then Mayor Asha Sharma being canceled and given to Vaishya leader Sunita Dayal and the tickets of about two dozen then BJP councilors being canceled, should be balanced. Why the BJP central leadership is not making an effort to do so is beyond comprehension.
Local BJP leaders say in hushed tones that the party’s dedicated workers are also worried as the politics of the industrial city Ghaziabad has come under the control of ‘tycoons’, as they now see their future as bleak. It is said that in order to ensure that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh does not get angry with BJP’s decision in Ghaziabad, to control its damage, special favors are being showered on Vaishyas and Brahmins, who were the core voters of the party, due to which the Kshatriya community is feeling neglected.
Not only this, there is internal anger among the leaders of Dalit and OBC class also, but due to it being a metropolitan area and the numerical strength of Vaishya-Brahmin class being overwhelming, they become helpless. Although the population of minority and Dalit class is also good here, but representation is missing! Even though once a Dalit was made the President and given ministerial post in the center and state. Whereas Dalits are satisfied just being councilors. Because he is considered the vote bank of Mayawati. Perhaps that is why the party does not take any interest in making him MP and MLA from Ghaziabad.
At the same time, due to the presence of OBC Vice President, OBC PM and dozens of OBC ministers in the center and state, the party in a metropolis like Ghaziabad does not want to give them much preference for the posts of MP or MLA, because basically OBC voters consider them to be supporters of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. Let’s go. At the same time, minorities are Congress supporters, hence BJP does not harass them. Despite this, the party satisfied him by making Narendra Kashyap, an OBC leader, the cabinet minister with independent charge, because Deputy CM KP Maurya is also an OBC, but the Dalit leadership feels completely cheated here. Let us tell you that only the unity of Dalit-minority voters in Ghaziabad Sadar seat decides who will be the next MLA?
Experts say that the way Vaishya leader and MP Atul Garg is being promoted during the tenure of Mayor Sunita Dayal, the Punjabi community itself is irritated, which is considered to be the core voter of BJP. They have a good number in Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituency and Ghaziabad Sadar assembly seat. At the same time, in the Ghaziabad assembly by-election, the Bania quota seat has been cut and given to Brahmin candidate Sanjeev Sharma, BJP Metropolitan President, now the Bania community has also expressed unhappiness. Their complaint is that despite the presence of Sahibabad MLA Sunil Sharma, who has also been made the cabinet minister with independent charge in the state, Muradnagar MLA Ajitpal Tyagi, District Panchayat President Mamta Tyagi, Legislative Council member Basant Tyagi and Shrish Chand, ticket was given to another Brahmin. given. At the same time, former mayor Asha Sharma is also a Brahmin. At the same time, dozens of Brahmin councilors are active in Ghaziabad and also dominate the party organization. There is a Brahmin Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak in the state, whose blessings are enjoyed by the leaders here.
At the same time, in their defense, Brahmins say that apart from Mayor Sunita Dayal, MP Atul Garg, MLC Dinesh Goyal, dozens of corporation councilors come from Vaishya community. Whereas, former Rajya Sabha member Anil Aggarwal also belongs to Vaishya community. Minister of State with status Captain Manoj Gupta is also indirectly active in Ghaziabad. In such a situation, the Bania community should not be angry with the promotion of Brahmins on urban seats, but should support them, like Brahmins have supported Atul Garg in the Ghaziabad parliamentary elections, while a strong Brahmin candidate from the opposition Congress, Dolly Sharma, is also in the fray. Was.
In such a situation, it is natural for the Kshatriyas to complain that one post of MP has been taken away from their community and now they have only one MLA, Dharmesh Tomar, who represents the Dhaulana assembly constituency of Hapur district. This assembly constituency falls in Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituency. At the same time, some councilors are from Kshatriya community. But they wanted a representation from Ghaziabad Sadar seat, which they did not get. Since Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have a strong hold on the Kshatriyas, they are able to allay their resentment.
It is discussed that earlier BJP strategist Amit Shah had made a plan to marginalize Brahmins politically by promoting Kshatriyas, but the way Kshatriya leaders started becoming obstacles in the path of his ambitions, he again adopted the strategy of promoting Brahmins. Have taken. Anyway, BJP is called a party of Baniyas and Brahmins only, with which Kshatriyas also joined as core voters due to Rajnath Singh and Yogi Adityanath. Earlier the credit for this went to Bhairo Singh Shekhawat and Digvijay Singh.
However, only after the second victory in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2022, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, despite incurring the displeasure of the Brahmin and Vaish MLAs of Ghaziabad, surprised everyone by making Narendra Kashyap, who comes from the OBC community, the Minister of State with independent charge. However, when Vaishyas and Brahmins expressed internal organizational resentment, diplomatically Atul Garg, former Minister of State, was replaced by Sunil Sharma. Later, the regret of removing Atul Garg from the post of minister was removed by making him MP. At the same time, due to sudden appointment of Sunil Sharma as minister, the dreams of Gurjar MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar and Jat MLA Dr Manju Siwach remained unfulfilled.
Experienced leaders of the party say that the MP and MLA of Ghaziabad should not at all be from the caste of PM and CM, but should be from other castes. A similar formula should also apply to MLAs who do not belong to the caste of the CM and Deputy CM. At the same time, there should not be more than one MLA from the same caste or sub-caste in a district. Whereas in the name of party, importance should be given to those castes in the post of councilor, who could not get importance in the post of PM, CM, MP, MLA and minister. Only by doing this, BJP can keep the Hindu society completely united and can deflate the caste based parties like SP-BSP, otherwise not! It is clear from the bulk of votes received by the opposition in the Ghaziabad Lok Sabha elections 2024 that BJP’s fort can crack due to caste mobilization, hence it should maintain a keep and balance.
