Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday accused the BJP of ‘electronic booth capturing’ in the Uttar Pradesh by-elections. Now Deputy Chief Minister of the state Brajesh Pathak has hit back at Akhilesh’s allegations. He clearly said that the ground has slipped under the feet of SP and Akhilesh Yadav is not able to accept his defeat.
In a press conference held at the BJP state headquarters, Deputy Chief Minister Pathak attacked Akhilesh Yadav’s statements. He said, ‘Why is there a burning sensation in the chest, like a storm in the eyes, why is everyone in the Saifai family upset. The ground has slipped under the feet of SP and Akhilesh Yadav is not able to accept this defeat. He further said that SP leaders focus only on mafias, capturing properties and endangering the honor and dignity of women.

Pathak also raised questions on SP’s rule and its policies. He said, ‘Akhilesh Yadav misleads the public with false promises. During the Lok Sabha elections, these people tricked the public by saying that the Constitution is in danger and talked about giving Rs 8,000 each to women, later the women also surrounded their offices, which the whole country saw.
Deputy Chief Minister Pathak said that the people of the state know the reality of these people and have completely rejected them. He said, ‘The Samajwadi Party talks about the Constitution of India. SPs have always attacked democratic institutions, sometimes they attacked the judiciary and sometimes they attacked the Election Commission. They do not trust democracy at all. The same Election Commission had conducted the Lok Sabha elections, when the EVMs were good, the Election Commission was doing very good work, then people never got tired of praising the officials.
Pathak said that their biggest pain is not only losing the elections, but their biggest pain is that they know that their core voters have gone away from them. He said that whether it is backward class or Dalit community, everyone has done the work of leaving SP, they also consider Muslims as just voters. He said that they talk about Kundarki, there their candidate’s deposit has been confiscated, BJP has got the maximum votes.

He said, ‘They say that if there is any disturbance in Kundarki then postal ballot is an example. In the postal ballot, BJP candidate got 68 votes while SP candidate got only 29 votes. Statistics show that just as we got 70 percent votes in postal ballot and SP got 30 percent votes, the same trend followed in EVMs also. They don’t have the answer to this. He said that the public has come to know about the dark deeds of the Red Cap people, now the public will never forgive them.
