Electoral history of Borio seat
Let us tell you that Borio assembly seat has not been dominated by any one party. In the 2000 elections, this seat was won by JMM leader Lobin Hembram. So in the year 2005, BJP leader Tala Marandi had won this seat. During the 2009 assembly elections, Lobin Hembraj took revenge of the defeat and defeated Tala Marandi. In 2014, Tala Marandi was again defeated by Lobin on BJP ticket. But in the year 2019 once again the tables turned and Marandi had to face defeat in front of Hamburg.
Understand what the equations are
Just before the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly elections, JMM leader and sitting MLA Lobin Hembraj has joined BJP. The party has also given him ticket from this seat. In such a situation, the contest on Borio assembly seat has become very interesting. At present there is a Grand Alliance government in the state and CM Soren is continuously claiming to remain in power. Whereas BJP claims that the people of the state are fed up with the Soren government and want to oust it from power. In such a situation, it will be very interesting to see what new direction the equations on this seat take.
