Anmol Bishnoi, the fugitive brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was detained in the United States on Monday. According to preliminary information, Anmol, who is also a dreaded gangster and was wanted in several high-profile murder cases in India, was taken into custody in California earlier in the day. He is also involved in the recent murder of former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in October this year. Anmol Bishnoi was detained in the US, weeks after the Mumbai Police Crime Branch unit initiated the process of his extradition. Anmol also faces two cases registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and 18 other criminal cases. Recently the terrorist investigation agency announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for the person who provides information about Anmol Bishoi which will lead to his arrest.
