The game of defection has started before the Delhi Assembly elections. In a way where veteran leader Kailash Gehlot left the Aam Aadmi Party. On the other hand, Anil Jha, a two-time BJP MLA, joined AAP. Jha joined AAP in the presence of party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal. After Jha joined the party, Kejriwal targeted BJP. He alleged that BJP has done injustice to the people of Purvanchal.
Kejriwal said, ‘Anil Jha is welcome in AAP. Anil Jha is considered one of the biggest leaders of Purvanchal. People from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar come to Delhi for education and employment. When DDA failed to build houses for the poor, illegal colonies were built and a large number of people from Purvanchal live in them. Both the parties (Congress and BJP) have done injustice to the people of Purvanchal. When I became the Chief Minister, for the first time I started the work of laying roads, sewers and water pipelines in illegal colonies. We have laid water pipelines in 1650 out of 1750 illegal colonies.
