Age Limit (Age Limit)

The age limit for candidates is set between 18 to 23 years as on January 1, 2025. Candidates born before January 2, 2001 and after January 1, 2006 are not eligible.

Mode of selection (Mode Of Selection)

Physical standards are important for this recruitment. Candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

Height

• Male: 170 cms (general candidates), with relaxation for specific categories.
• Female: 157 cms (General candidates), with relaxation for specific categories.

Chest (for male candidates)

• Uninflated: 80cm
• Minimum expansion: 5 cm

weight

Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

• Computer Based Examination (CBE): CBE will consist of 80 objective type questions carrying 2 marks each. The exam will cover subjects like General Intelligence, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi. The total exam duration will be 60 minutes with a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
• Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify for CBE will be shortlisted for PST/PET. PST includes height and chest measurement while PET consists of a 5 km run for male candidates to be completed in 24 minutes and a 1.6 km run for female candidates to be completed in 8.5 minutes.
• Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify the PST/PET will have to undergo a detailed medical examination to assess their physical and medical fitness as per the standards prescribed by CAPFs.

Application Fee

The application fee for SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2025 is ₹100, which is payable online. However, female candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempted from paying the fee.

Candidates must have passed matriculation or 10th class from a recognized board by 1st January 2025. Candidates who have not acquired the required educational qualification by the prescribed date are not eligible to apply.
