After his sharp power struggle over the Rajasthan Congress leadership, which led to a major political crisis in 2020, this is the first public dialogue between the two leaders over the years. Gehlot posted on X that AICC General Secretary Sachin Pilot was invited to a program organized at his residence on the 25th death anniversary of former Union Minister Late Shri Rajesh Pilot. Rajesh Pilot and I reached Lok Sabha together for the first time in 1980 and were MPs together for about 18 years. We are still unhappy with his sudden demise. His departure was also a major setback for the party.
He also shared a video of the two meeting. Similarly, Sachin Pilot also posted a photo of both on social media. Pilot wrote: “I met former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot ji today. I requested him to attend a tribute ceremony held in Dausa on the 25th death anniversary of my father late Rajesh Pilot ji on 11 June.”
