The England and Wales Cricket Board has banned Shakib Al Hasan from bowling in any of its tournaments. Then the umpires raised questions on his action.
To lift the suspension, Shakib will have to pass a bowling action test. Their elbow should not bend more than 15 degrees during the test. The official date of suspension is December 10. On this day the ECB received the results of the assessment from Loughborough University. In a match played for Surrey at Taunton in September, Shakib took 9 wickets, his best in county cricket since 2010–11.
Recently Shakib Al Hasan has been in a lot of controversies. He was an MP in the now ousted Awami League government in Bangladesh. The government fell after protests in July-August. Shakib has retired from Test and T20 International and is not able to go to Bangladesh. He lives in America with his family. He could not play the farewell Test in Mirpur in October because of protests in Dhaka for and against him. He has not played international cricket.
