Team India’s 2025 domestic cricket season is going to be quite busy. In October and numbers, India has to play Tests, ODIs and T20 series against West Indies and South Africa. But even before this series, the BCCI has made changes in the venue of the Test series.
The Indian team will first host the West Indies. The first match of the 2 -Test series between the two countries will be played from 2 to 6 October at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The second Test was to be held at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata, but now the match will be played from 10 to 14 October at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
At the same time, with the change in the Venue of the Test series against the West Indies, the venue of the Test series against South Africa has also changed. After the West Indies, the South Africa team will visit India in November 2025. 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and T20s are played between the two countries. The first match of the Test series was to be held in Delhi first but this test has been shifted to Kolkata. The match will be played at the Eden Gardens from November 14 to 18, while the second Test will be held in Guwahati from 22 to 26 November.
The BCCI has not given any reason for the change in the venue, but it is being said that the cold starts in Delhi from mid -November and pollution causes mist or fog and increases air pollution, which also reduces visibility. This has happened many times before. Perhaps in view of this, the BCCI has made changes in the venue.
No change in ODI and T20
There has been no change in the venue of three ODIs and 5 T20s against South Africa. The ODI series will start from November 30 to December 6, while the T20 series will be played from December 9 to December 19.
Change also compared to IND Vs SA
The BCCI has also changed the three ODI venues between India A and South Africa A. These matches were to be held first at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore but now they will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
