The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday released a 10-point policy to promote ‘discipline and cohesion’ in the national cricket team, including mandatory playing in domestic cricket, ban on presence of family and personal staff on tours and personal contact during series. Players not following this policy will be penalized, including deducting their retainer fees from central contracts and being barred from participating in the lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL).
