A Delhi court granted anticipatory bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan in a case related to obstructing the work of public servants. The Rouse Avenue Court approved his bail on the condition that he would deposit a bond of Rs 25,000 and the same amount of bail amount. Delhi Police had registered a case against him on 10 February for an incident in Jamia Nagar area. A case was recently registered on him for the attack on the Delhi Police team in Jamia Nagar in the national capital.

Delhi Police had lodged an FIR against MLA Khan from Okhla in connection with the incident on February 10 and alleged that they led the mob and helped in the custody of the accused and fugitive criminal in a case of attempt to murder. . Police said the incident happened when the crime branch of Delhi Police tried to arrest a person named Shabaz Khan.
