Bihar government will enter into agreement with BCCI for the development of cricket stadium.

Bihar government will soon sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the construction and redevelopment of Moin-ul-Haq Cricket Stadium. The decision in this regard was taken on Tuesday in the cabinet meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Cabinet Secretariat’s Additional Chief Secretary S Siddhartha told reporters after the Cabinet meeting that on Tuesday the Cabinet approved the proposal of the State Sports Department to sign an MoU with the BCCI for the construction and redevelopment of the Moin-ul-Haq Cricket Stadium. Approved.
With this, this stadium will become an international stadium equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, where day-night matches as well as other sporting activities will be organised. The MoU will be signed soon and the construction work will start soon thereafter, which will be completed in 36 months.” He said, ”After the completion of the construction, BCCI will organize matches and other sporting activities for seven years. …and after that the profit will be shared with the state government on fifty-fifty basis.
BCCI experts will ensure that the stadium is of international standards at par with other stadiums in the country. It will be completely redesigned. The new cricket complex will include standard size cricket grounds. Apart from this, it will have dedicated courts for tennis, basketball, swimming…gym and spa.” According to the MoU, apart from this, the stadium will have a five-star hotel and six corporate hospitality boxes. Siddhartha said the total cost of the project will be mentioned in the MoU.
