On the occasion of Chhath Puja, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, BJP President JP Nadda, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and other prominent leaders visited Ganga Ghat in Patna and extended greetings to the people participating in the festival. Former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his son and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav also visited the ghats to pray for peace and prosperity in Bihar and India. The Bihar government has imposed elaborate arrangements at more than 100 ghats to accommodate large gatherings.

Medical camps and security personnel, including teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and NDRF, have been deployed to ensure the safety of the devotees. Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh confirmed that advisories have been issued to guide the public, and additional facilities have been set up at major lakes and parks in the city. RJD chief Lalu Yadav said that we worship Lord Sun. The setting sun is worshipped. Lakhs of people come to the banks of Ganga Ghat to celebrate this.

On Friday morning, a second Arghya will be offered to the rising sun, marking the end of the four-day festival. According to the district administration, arrangements have been made for worship at various ponds like Kachchi Pond, Gardnibagh Pond, Manikchand Pond, Anisabad and Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park Lake. Apart from this, major parks like Eco Park, Energy Park, Veer Kunwar Singh Park, Shivaji Park, Hardinge Park, Hanuman Nagar Park and SK Puri Park have also been prepared for the festival. Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh said, all the ghats are ready for Chhath Puja. Arrangements have been made at all the ghats including Banshi Ghat, Krishna Ghat, Kali Ghat, Kadam Ghat and Patna College Ghat. He said, we have issued advisories for Chhath Puja, which visitors and devotees will have to follow.
