Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has said that we will soon meet Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena and demand that he order an investigation of the accounts of the last 10 years of two of the three power discoms of Delhi which are linked to the BSES group. Virendra Sachdeva has said that yesterday BJP raised a question that there are 3 power discoms in Delhi, out of which one is running in profit and two are running in loss, whereas all the circumstances of buying and selling electricity of all three are the same. We told that a company is giving profit dividend of hundreds of crores to the government and the remaining two are showing a loss of thousands of crores.
We also said that it is surprising why the Delhi government is not taking any action against the private companies making regulatory assets which are continuously showing losses whereas this parent company has shown losses repeatedly in Odisha and the state government canceled the contract of this company. . Delhi BJP President said that when BJP accused two private companies of manipulation and questioned the government’s destiny, they should have replied but both of them are silent, which is somehow tacit acceptance of the allegation.
If Delhi BJP’s allegation was wrong then the discoms or the government would have responded but the ruling Aam Aadmi Party is also not denying the BJP’s allegation of manipulation in the accounts of the power discoms. It is just talking about its free electricity and water. By narrating the story, they are trying to divert the public’s attention from the joint scam of Power Discom and the government. Virendra Sachdeva has said that we once again demand the Delhi government to explain why it allowed a private company to build regulatory assets in the name of losses for ten years against the rules.
