Amalner Assembly seat is one of the 6 seats under Jalgaon Lok Sabha seat of Maharashtra. Amalner seat is dominated by Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe voters. That means only Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe voters decide the victory or defeat of the candidates. There is also a significant number of Muslim voters in this seat. But Amalner seat has the highest number of Patils. In such a situation, NCP has expressed confidence in Anil Bhaidas Patil this time too.

Independent candidates have also won

Let us tell you that in the assembly elections held from 1951 to 1972, Congress candidates have won from Amalner seat. So in the years 1978 and 1980, the Janata Party candidate had contested this seat. So after this, in the assembly elections of 1985, Congress once again retained its hold on this seat. But in 1990, this seat once again went to Janata Dal. After this, in the assembly elections of 1995, 1999 and 2004, Bharatiya Janata Party had won this seat. In the elections of 2009 and 2014, independent candidates surprised everyone by winning from this seat. However, in the 2019 elections, NCP’s Anil Bhaidas Patil won.
