BSP leaders of Ambala have demanded that the police should make every possible effort to arrest the accused as soon as possible. Harbilas had contested the last assembly elections from Narayangarh but could not win.
A Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader was shot dead by armed assailants in Narayangarh, Ambala in Haryana. Police gave this information on Saturday. He told that on Friday evening, BSP leader Harbilas Singh Rajjumajra was in his car with his friends Puneet and Gugal when he was attacked.
Puneet also got shot in this attack. According to the police, after the attack, Harbilas and Puneet were taken to PGIMER, Chandigarh, where Harbilas died late in the night. Puneet’s condition is said to be out of danger.
Police said the attackers have not been identified yet. Narayangarh police station in-charge Lalit Kumar has reached the spot to start the investigation. Ambala Superintendent of Police S.S. Bhoria said that a police team has been formed to arrest the attackers.
