Team India’s squad for Champions Trophy 2025 and against England has been announced. Rohit Sharma will captain Team India in both these tournaments, while Shubman Gill has been given the vice-captaincy of the team. Harshit Rana has been given a chance in place of Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian team against England. While Mohammad Siraj has been kept out of the team.
Last year, India had repeated history by winning the T20 World Cup title. And after 2013, once again Team India can repeat history by winning the Champions Trophy. But for this, Team India will have to enter the field with the best playing eleven. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been included in the Indian ODI team but there is a high possibility that only Shubman Gill will open for India along with Rohit Sharma. At present, Yashasvi will remain in the team as a backup opener. Virat can bat at number three in the team while Shreyas Iyer can bat at number four.
Rishabh Pant is now India’s first wicketkeeper option for the Champions Trophy, so it is certain that he will get a chance in the playing eleven. Due to which KL Rahul may have to sit out. The team may have Ravindra Jadeja as the spin all-rounder while Kuldeep Yadav will be in the team as the other spinner. If Jasprit Bumrah remains fit, then Shami and Arshdeep Singh can come under his leadership as fast bowlers.
