The protesters attacked a TV station and CPN (integrated socialist) party office waving pictures of the national flag and former King Gyanendra Shah.

When supporters of the monarchy were rally in Tinku, thousands of anti -monarchy workers gathered in Bhrikutimandap under the leadership of the Samajwadi Front. He shouted slogans like “Republic system immortal and take action against corrupt people. The Communist Party (Maoist Center )’s chief Pushp Kamal Dahal Prachanda” and other leaders addressed the crowd, which strengthened their opposition to the return of the monarchy. The police took several protesters to custody to violate the restrictions and try to march towards the banned New Baneshwar area.
