The Directorate of Indian Coast Guard and Revenue Intelligence (DRI) recently seized Hashish oil worth Rs 33 crore from a ship going to Maldives during a large drug prevention of anti -drug. Its information is given in one Baya.
According to the statement released on Saturday, the Coast Guard and DRI successfully stopped a ship laden with drugs in the Indian water area. Through this ship, drug trafficking in Maldives could be stopped.
The statement said that the DRI shared intelligence information about the consignment of potential drugs on a ship from Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu on March 5.
According to the release, the Indian Coast Guard took quick action and dispatched two ships and the suspected ship was stopped south of the Gulf of Mannar.
The crew was caught and the DRI requested to take the ships to the Tuticorin port for further investigation. According to the release, “The ships of the coast of guard forcefully entered the sea in Tuticorin for about 40 hours.
On March 7, the suspected ship and nine members of the crew were handed over to the DRI at 11:30 am. The prohibited banned substance was confirmed in the form of Hashish oil, which weighed about 30 kg and its estimated price in the international market is Rs 33 crore.
