Congress announced the names of candidates for Godda, Dhanbad and Chatra, Pradeep Yadav out of the race, suspense remains on Ranchi.

Ranchi: Congress has announced the names of its candidates for three more Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand. Has announced the names of its candidates from Godda, Chatra and Dhanbad seats. Pradeep Yadav has not been given a chance from Godda.

Deepika Pandey Singh has been made candidate from Godda, KN Tripathi from Chatra and Anupama Singh from Dhanbad. In the 2019 elections, Godda seat went to JVM under the Grand Alliance. Then Pradeep Yadav had contested the elections. After the merger of JVM with BJP, Pradeep Yadav had joined Congress and was hoping for Congress ticket but the party gave importance to old worker Deepika Pandey Singh.

The special thing is that Congress has made Anupama Singh, wife of Bermo MLA Jai Mangal Singh alias Anoop Singh, its candidate from Dhanbad. Last time, Congress had fielded former cricketer Kirti Jha Azad as its candidate from Dhanbad. Krishnanand Tripathi, who was the Congress MLA from Daltenganj, has been fielded as the candidate from Chatra. In the 2019 elections, Congress had made Manoj Yadav its candidate from Chatra.

With the announcement of the names of candidates on these three seats, Congress has declared candidates on a total of 6 seats out of the 7 seats found in the quota under the India Alliance. Now Congress has to announce the name of the candidate only on Ranchi seat. According to sources, Banna Gupta, a minister in the Champai Soren government, is working hard to field a candidate from Ranchi. Subodh Kant Sahay is continuously running a public relations campaign in his area. Earlier, Congress had declared candidates Kalicharan Munda in Khunti, Sudarshan Bhagat in Lohardaga and JP Patel in Hazaribagh.
