The level of air quality in the national capital Delhi is falling significantly. Even on the morning of Saturday 21st December, Delhi remained in the grip of poisonous smog. During this period, the average AQI in Nehru Nagar reached 434, which is a worrying level. This level of air pollution falls in the serious category.

It is believed that PM2.5 is the main reason behind increased air pollution. Small and dangerous particles are capable of penetrating deep into the lungs. They are also successful in making a place in the bloodstream. This can cause serious health risks.

This is definitely in the ‘serious’ category. The main reason for this was PM2.5 – those tiny, dangerous particles that can penetrate deep into the lungs and even enter the bloodstream, causing serious health risks. Let us tell you that Delhi, Noida, Gurugram and some parts of the National Capital Region are also covered with a thick layer of smog.

According to the information, 20 out of 36 monitoring stations across the city have reported the air quality to be in the ‘severe’ category at 8 am on Saturday. These levels indicate a significant deterioration in air quality. The condition is considered life-threatening for vulnerable people such as children, the elderly, and those with respiratory or heart disease.

Let us tell you that earlier on Friday, the air quality was in severe category, the 24-hour average AQI was 429.
