The electoral battle continues in the national capital Delhi. The new twist has now come in the midst of this election battle. In this electionThe Samajwadi Party (SP) will campaign for the Aam Aadmi Party in the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. Samajwadi Party, Trinamool Congress, Shiv Sena UBT and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) have already given their support to the ruling AAP in Delhi.
According to information received from the Aam Aadmi Party, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will perform a road show together in Rithala assembly constituency on 30 January. Along with SP chief Yadav, many party MPs will also campaign for AAP. AAP said that Ikra Hasan, MP from Kairana, will also campaign for AAP candidates in the assembly elections.
It is noteworthy that both the Congress and the AAP parties, which are part of the India alliance, contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections together in Delhi. However, both parties are contesting the Delhi Assembly elections separately, due to which support has been divided within the coalition, as the major colleagues of the India Block are supporting AAP.
Apart from this, Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav said that India’s alliance is ‘intact’. He said on 15 January, “India coalition remains intact. I remember when India was formed, it was decided that wherever a regional party would be strong, the coalition would support it.” Let us know that the Delhi assembly elections will be held on February 5 in the same phase and the counting of votes will be held on 8 February.
