Sachdeva further said that 108 incidents of stubble burning were recorded in Punjab on October 26, but neighboring states Haryana and UP were blamed. If they are still not able to control stubble burning in Punjab, then it is politics. Today many people are suffering from diseases. He said that if the Punjab government and Delhi’s AAP government were serious on the issue of air pollution, they would have received this memorandum. We have told how the incidents of stubble burning have reduced in UP and Haryana. It would have been better if the CM of Punjab had met us.
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj said that air pollution is a serious issue in Delhi. Delhi wants results, not publicity. Why is there no coordination between Delhi and Punjab and why no action plan has been made yet? Due to the increasing incidents of stubble burning in Punjab, the air pollution in Delhi is continuously increasing due to which the people of Delhi are worried and in this context, a high level delegation of Delhi BJP under the leadership of State President Virendra Sachdeva reached Kapurthala House to submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann. Reached his Delhi residence but the Chief Minister did not meet the BJP delegation.
