Sources in the Government of India say that reports of Indians ban on visit to Saudi Arabia are wrong. The Saudi government has not issued any notification in this matter. Temporary sanctions are imposed on short -term visas to avoid congestion during the Haj season, which end up with the conclusion of the Haj. Earlier, the Arab Times report claimed that Saudi Arabia temporarily banned citizens of 14 countries including India from giving ‘block work visa’. The report said that this decision of the Ministry of Human Resource and Social Development will be effective by the end of June 2025, which matches the Haj season.

However, firms targeting workers from listed countries will not be provided new quota under temporary ban, and the process of already approved quota may be delayed. Applications for pending work entry visa can be postponed or rejected, and people with legitimate work visa may not yet have to face admission restrictions.
