Delhi- Dr. BR Ambedkar Jayanti Week is being celebrated from 7 to 13 April 2025 at Delhi Teachers University. This week is being organized this week in memory of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the creator of the Constitution, social reformer and inspiration of education and equality, through various educational, creative and reflective activities, in which there was an active participation of university students and teachers.

Day 1 (April 7): Preface Reading and Film Performance
The week began with the collective reading of the preamble of the Indian Constitution, headed by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Delhi Teachers University, Prof. Dhananjay Joshi did it. This was followed by a screening of the Constitution Documentary, which effectively presents the historic journey of constitution and the leading role of Dr. Ambedkar.
Day 2 (April 8): Slogan writing and poster construction competition
The students creatively expressed their views on subjects like social justice, equality, and human rights. In his slogans and posters, Dr. Ambedkar’s thoughts and ideals were reflected deeply.
Day 3 (April 9): Seminar and Research Taper presentation
In “Dr. BR Ambedkar’s life, idea and contribution”, the students presented papers on topics like contribution to constitution, social change through education, rights of women, and upliftment of deprived sections. This encouraged critical thinking and academic dialogue among the students.
Discussion on the floor on the topic “Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges” on day 5 (April 11)
It was organized, in which teachers and students had a serious communication on the contemporary relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s views.
On the day 6 (April 12), the students will see the remaining links of the “Constitution” documentary at home, so that they can understand the process of formation of the Indian Constitution and the role of Dr. Ambedkar more deeply.
Finally, on the day 7 (April 13), students will participate in handmade or digital collage construction competition on topics like “Empowerment through education”, “social justice”, “Craftsman of the Constitution” and “Kalpana of New India”, which will be the creative and concerned closing of the week.
