First encounter took place in Srinagar

The army started the search operation after receiving updates about the presence of two-three terrorists in the Jabarwan forest area on the outskirts of Srinagar. During this, there was firing between security forces and terrorists. Officials said that the encounter started around 9 am. However, now it is being told that the terrorists have fled through the back route, after which the army has stopped the search operation for some time.

Second encounter in Kishtwar

After the killing of two village defense guards, anti-terrorism operation is going on in the forests of Kuntwara and Keshawan since Thursday evening. During the search operation, there was an encounter between security forces and terrorists, in which three soldiers were injured and one was martyred. The Army identified the martyred soldier as Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar of 2 Para and saluted his supreme sacrifice.
