Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who went on a state visit to Saudi Arabia, condemned the Pahalgam terror attack on Tuesday, saying that the culprits will be brought into the dock of justice and India’s resolve to fight terrorism is stuck. He wrote on X that I strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. My condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured people recover as soon as possible. All possible assistance is being provided to the affected people.

Modi further wrote that those behind this heinous act, they will be brought to the dock of justice. They will not be spared! Their nefarious agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is firm and it will be stronger. At the same time, the anti -terror operation has started. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha tweeted that an anti-terrorism campaign has been launched to neutralize the terrorists. The whole country is angry and the blood of our security forces is boiling. I want to assure the country that the criminals of the Pahalgam attack will have to pay a very heavy price for their heinous act. My heartfelt condolences to bereaved families.

At least 12 tourists were injured when they came down from a mountain in the Basaron Valley of Pahalgam and started firing. Earlier today, PM Modi spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and asked him to visit Jammu and Kashmir and take appropriate steps. After this incident, Amit Shah has a high level meeting. Meanwhile, the news is that Amit Shah is going to leave for Srinagar. He wrote on X that I am saddened by the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. My condolences are with the relatives of the deceased. Those involved in this heinous terrorist attack will not be spared and we will punish the culprits hard. Informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the incident and held a meeting with the concerned officials through video conferencing.
