Farmers demonstrated before Kejriwal’s rally in Punjab, angry with AAP for this

Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ekta-Ugrahan) workers broke police barricades and forcibly reached the election rally venue, where Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann were scheduled to address AAP supporters in Gidderbaha on Saturday. . Raising slogans against the Central and State governments, the farmers led by Jhanda Singh Jethuke protested and tried to enter the rally venue, which was foiled by the police.

Police officials had barricaded the area to control the crowd and secure the venue. When the police stopped them from going inside, the workers forcibly broke the barricade and entered inside. They were removed from the surrounding area and later blocked the road near the rally venue. The protesters alleged that the BJP-led NDA was promoting an environment favoring corporate companies and MNCs in the retail sector by setting up malls and threatening small business entities. He blamed the Punjab government for the poor paddy procurement system this season.
Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal today described Punjab as a role model for the country by creating government job opportunities for youth in every village. Addressing a function on the occasion of recruitment of 1,746 constables in Punjab Police, Kejriwal highlighted the state government’s achievement of providing more than 48,000 jobs to the youth in a free, fair and transparent manner.

“Every village in Punjab now has at least one government employee, which is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction for everyone,” he said. “This momentum of creating government jobs for the youth will continue, enabling them to actively participate in the socio-economic progress of the state.” Kejriwal encouraged the newly appointed constables to serve diligently, emphasizing their role in maintaining law and order in Punjab. He said, “It is a matter of pride for all of them that they are becoming a part of the most disciplined and decorated Punjab Police.”
