According to the police, Sunagadhi police found in the investigation that Dinesh, son of Scheduled Caste Jagan Lal, was murdered during the Pradhani elections in 2014, on charges of which a case was registered against Premshankar, Anil Kumar, Kandhai Lal and Harswaroop.

The accused were acquitted by the High Court in the year 2022 and since then the rivalry between the two parties had intensified. Police said that in order to avenge the murder of his son, Jagan Lal, under the influence of alcohol, took his licensed gun and opened fire at Prem Shankar’s house late on Tuesday evening.

Due to this, Prem Shankar and his wife Omashree, Rajneesh, Vikas and Anil got injured due to shrapnel in their legs. At the same time, Prem Shankar’s family members caught Jagan Lal on the spot and beat him with sticks, due to which his condition also worsened.

City Area Police Officer (CO) Deepak Chaturvedi told reporters that all the injured from both sides during the clash have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. For security reasons, heavy police force has been deployed in the village.
