G7 Summit | PM Modi, who became the voice of Global South, urged to take global action against terrorism

On the second day of the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed the major global challenges including terrorism, trade and development with world leaders. Addressing the G7 Outreach session, the Prime Minister reiterated India’s firm stand against terrorism, warned against double norms and called for integrated global action.

What did Prime Minister Modi say at the G-7 summit?

Confirming India’s attitude against terrorism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the G-7 group leaders to intensify global action against terrorism and outlines the need to take strict steps against those who give it “promotion and support”. ‘Group of Seven’ (G -7) is an informal group of seven advanced economies of the world – France, America, Britain, Germany, Japan, Italy and Canada and the European Union.

Calling strict global action against countries supporting terrorism

On the other hand, the countries that openly support terrorism are rewarded. “Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal wrote on the social media forum ‘X’,” The Prime Minister reiterated India’s stance against terrorism and thanked the leaders for condemning the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

Urged to speed up global action against terrorism

Modi said, “India has chosen the path of inclusive development by moving forward on the basic principles of availability, access, strength, acceptance.”

Jaiswal said that Modi in his address highlighted the need to ensure energy security for all through a permanent and green route and explained in detail the global initiatives of India in the direction of this purpose such as the international solar alliance, the anti -disaster infrastructure alliance and the global biofuel coalition.

We have to cooperate for technology

 Modi said, “AI (artificial merit) is a technology in itself that requires a lot of energy. If there is any way to fulfill the energy requirements of technology-operated society permanently, it is only through renewed energy. “He said that there was a competition for energy in the last century but in this century,” We have to cooperate for technology. “We have to cooperate for technology.” Modi also highlighted the use of technology democratic and also highlighted India’s experiences and applied it to the human-centric view.
