In Ghaziabad, a traffic police constable (soldier), who jumped into the Hindon Canal, died due to drowning in Ghaziabad on Saturday. Police gave this information.
According to the police, the soldier was identified as Ankit Tomar (20). He was admitted to the nearest hospital after the divers were taken out of the mud filled canal, where doctors declared him dead.
According to the police, the incident occurred when Aarti, a resident of Sardhana, Meerut, a resident of Vaishali Sector 2, jumped into the Hindon Canal. Aarti, who had a love marriage to a person named Aditya six months ago, was allegedly quarreled with her husband in the morning.
Trans Hindon Deputy Commissioner (DCP) Nimish Patil said that, “Traffic Sub Inspector (TSI) Dharmendra and constable Ankit Tomar, who were on duty nearby, immediately jumped into the canal to save Aarti. Many passengers also participated in the rescue work. Aarti was taken out safely, but TSI and Tomar got trapped in the mud surface of the canal. ”
He told, “TSI somehow managed to get himself out, but Tomar got stuck. The divers finally managed to get Tomar out and were rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead. ”He reported that the body had been sent for post -mortem.
