The BJP leader said that whether Operation is vermilion or any BBC report, he always speaks against India. It seems as if they have vowed to speak against the country.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. Rahul Gandhi had criticized the Uttar Pradesh government for alleged wrong reporting of deaths during the stampede at Mahakumbh. Singh accused Gandhi of repeatedly relying on foreign sources and statements, which according to him weakens India’s image. Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s recent social media posts, Giriraj Singh said, “Rahul Gandhi rely on the Chinese Embassy, Pakistani Embassy and BBC reports, but he does not trust his country. This is the correct reflection of Rahul Gandhi’s credibility.”

The BJP leader said that whether Operation is vermilion or any BBC report, he always speaks against India. It seems as if they have vowed to speak against the country. The dispute began when Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, citing a BBC report, alleged that the actual number of deaths in the stampede during Mahakumbh was hidden by the Uttar Pradesh government.

In a post on X, Gandhi wrote, “The BBC report shows that the statistics of the stampede in the Kumbh Mela were hidden. Like Kovid, the bodies of the poor were erased from the figures. As after every major railway accident, the truth is suppressed.” Criticizing the ruling BJP, he further said, “This is the BJP model – if the poor do not count, then there will be no accountability!” There was a sharp response from BJP leaders to Rahul Gandhi’s comments, in which many people accused him of politicizing sensitive matters and relying on foreign media rather than domestic institutions.
