Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that good health of the people is the top priority of the state government and the government has dedicated 8.26 percent of its total annual budget to medical care. Addressing a program here, Sharma said that medicine is a field of service and service is not associated with money but with peace of mind, in such a situation, doctors are doing a great job of serving humanity. Sharma said, “In this year’s budget, we have dedicated Rs 27,660 crore, i.e. 8.26 percent of the budget, only to medical and health. The health of the people of the state is our top priority.
He was addressing the convocation and inauguration ceremony of a private university here. He congratulated the students who have obtained various medical degrees and wished them a bright future. According to the official statement, the Chief Minister said that the health records of every citizen are being made available online through ‘Rajasthan Digital Health Mission’.
He said that the state government is improving the medical infrastructure under the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Health Infrastructure Mission, in which work worth Rs 15 thousand crore will be done in the health sector in three years. He said that under the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided. Before this, he inaugurated the newly installed ‘Hematology Tower and Cyber Knife Machine’. Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa, Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, founder of ‘Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences’ M.L. were present in the program. Goldsmiths were also present.
