The Ministry of Minority Affairs on Saturday released ‘Haj Suvidha App 2’. In this new version of the app, other features including air travel details, destination maps and direction indicator system have been added. It also includes key features like medical details and health advisories of Indian pilgrims going for Haj.
The app was released by Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju. He released the app while inaugurating the Conference of Chairpersons of State and Union Territory Haj Committees in the presence of Minister of State for Minority Affairs George Kurien and Haj Committee of India Chairman Abdullakutty, among others.
Rijiju emphasized that Haj has long been the cornerstone of strong bilateral relations between India and Saudi Arabia. He highlighted several important reforms aimed at improving the Haj pilgrimage experience, including removal of discretionary quota, integration of technology through Haj Suvidha App and provision of facilities for women pilgrims without Mehram. Kurien highlighted the new measures being implemented for Haj 2025 that are designed to enhance the convenience and comfort of Indian pilgrims.
