Gulzar House Fire: 17 people killed in Gulzar House near Charminar in Hyderabad

A fierce fire broke out at Gulzar House near Charminar in Hyderabad on Sunday morning, killing 17 people, including four children. The fire set up on the ground floor and spread to the upper floors. The fire department saved 17 people by conducting a search and rescue operations and rushed to the hospital, but died during treatment.
Identification of the deceased Prahlada (70), Munni (70), Rajendra (65), Sumitra (60), Hamei (7), Abhishek (31), Sheetal (35), Priyans (4), Iraj (2), Aarushi (3), Rishabh (4), first (1), first (1), first (3), rain (35), Pankaj (36), Rashn (36), Razjhini (32), Edd (36), Has been in form. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
According to the fire department, the suspected cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Also, the value of the property is not yet known. However, Union Minister Gi Kishan Reddy, who was present at the scene, claimed that the accident occurred due to a short circuit, which exposed the decrease in emergency response.
Reddy said, ‘The accident occurred due to a short circuit. Many people have died in the accident. Some have been injured. I am not blaming anyone, but since Hyderabad is a fast developing city, police, municipal corporation, fire fighting and electricity departments should be strengthened. ‘
The fire department further stated that the rescue operations used advanced fire robots and the Brono Skylift Hydraulic platform.

Ponnam Prabhakar monitored the rescue operation
Telangana minister Ponnam Prabhakar also reached the spot to monitor the ongoing campaign. Former Charminar MLA and AIMIM leader Mumtaz Ahmed Khan was also present at the scene.
Talking about the fire accident, Ponnam Prabhakar said, ‘The fire started around 6:00 am and the Telangana fire department had reached the spot by 6:16 am. He tried his best to save everyone, but unfortunately the fire had already spread widely. Most of the people inside the building lost their lives.

PM Modi expressed grief over the tragedy
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed grief over this tragedy in a post on X, saying, ‘I am very sad about the death of people due to the fire tragedy in Hyderabad, Telangana. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. Wish the injured to recover soon. Prime Minister Modi announced an ex -gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for each victim. The injured will be given Rs 50,000.
