Heartburn is Ahmedabad aircraft accident: Chief Minister Yadav

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed deep grief on Thursday when the Air India aircraft going from Ahmedabad to London. The aircraft carrying a total of 242 passengers and crew members crashed a few moments after taking off from Ahmedabad Airport on Thursday afternoon. Many people are expected to be casualties.

The Boeing aircraft crashed in the Meghninagar area near Ahmedabad International Airport. Yadav said in a statement, “The news of an accident of passenger aircraft in Ahmedabad is extremely tragic and heartbreaking.”

The Chief Minister wished Lord Mahakal to protect the passengers and the success of the ongoing rescue operation there. Umang Singhar, Leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly, described the incident of aircraft accident as very sad and heartbreaking.

He said, “In this difficult time we all pray to God that all passengers and crew members are safe and those who are injured will get relief and medical help as soon as possible.”

Singhar said, “Our condolences are with all the victims and their families.” State Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora also expressed grief over the plane crash. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Madhya Pradesh unit president and Khajuraho MP Vishnudatta Sharma, State Organization General Secretary Hitanand and others have expressed deep grief over the incident. Sharma said that in this hour of grief, the state BJP is with the bereaved families and wishes for the injured to recover soon.
