Hemant Soren’s JMM-led alliance on Saturday won power in Jharkhand for the second consecutive time with a landslide victory. The ‘India’ alliance has won 56 seats in the 81-member assembly. However, the BJP-led NDA got only 24 seats. 41 seats are required for majority in the state assembly. Soren will take oath as the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Jharkhand was formed on 15 November 2000.
