Hindu protesters have organized a big demonstration in Bangladesh. Hindu protesters were also beaten by the police during this period. A huge rally was organized by Hindus in Rangpur, Bangladesh. He was seen protesting here regarding eight demands. About one lakh Hindu protesters gathered in Rangpur. The voice became vocal regarding the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh. Slogans of Jai Bhavani, Har Har Mahadev and Jai Shri Ram were also raised by the people present in the crowd in Rangpur. Saffron flag was also waved by the Hindu protesters. During this period, there have been allegations that Islamic fundamentalists have beaten the protesters. Many people have also been injured.

An eight-point list of demands has been prepared to be handed over to Yunus. The demands include setting up of a fast-track tribunal for speedy trial in cases of attacks on Hindus, immediate enactment of Minority Protection Law, upgrading the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust to a Foundation, modernizing the Pali Education Board, announcing five Is included. Muhammad Yunus earlier condemned the attacks on minority communities, describing them as “heinous” and urging youth to protect Hindu, Christian and Buddhist families.

According to community leaders in Dhaka, several Hindu temples, homes and businesses were vandalized, women were attacked and at least two Hindu leaders associated with the Hasina-led Awami League party were killed in the violence in Bangladesh. This has become a big challenge for the caretaker government led by Yunus. Thanedar urged the Biden administration to work together with Yunus and his government to end coordinated attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.
