Holi festival celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country, prayers of juma were also performed peacefully

New Delhi. Holi, the festival of colors in the country on Friday, was celebrated with full enthusiasm and enthusiasm and people greeted each other by applying gulal. In many big cities, the means of public transport including metro remained closed in the morning. Metro services started after noon. Security was tightened in many states of the country to prevent any untoward incident and police forces continued to patrol. An official in Delhi said that more than 25,000 security personnel have been deployed in the capital to maintain law and order. The festival of colors in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh was celebrated peacefully with traditional enthusiasm amidst tight security arrangements in view of Holi and Juma’s prayers on the same day.

Officials said that on the occasion of Holi, the traditional ‘Chaupai procession’ was also taken out in Sambhal city.
