Australian young batsman Nathan McSweeney, who made his Test debut against India under the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, has been dropped from the last two Test matches. After which now McSweeney’s pain has spilled over. During this time he has admitted that now he is broken. He also said that he will work hard and make a place in the team again. Let us tell you that, after the poor performance of McSweeney, Cricket Australia has replaced him with young Sam Kontas in the remaining two matches.
“Yes, I am devastated,” McSweeney told Channel 7. My dream of playing for Australia came true but not in the way I wanted. But this happens in sports. I will work hard and prepare myself for the next opportunity.
25-year-old McSweeney made his Test debut in Perth but in the last six innings his scores were 10, 0, 39, 10 not out, 9 and 4. He was dismissed by Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah four times in the series.
McSweeney said, it is like this in cricket. If you don’t play well when you get a chance, your place is not assured. I missed it but now I will work hard again and make a place in the team again.
