Meanwhile, discussion and preparations are going on where the new Chief Minister will remain. The Public Works Department (PWD) has shortlisted three options for Rekha Gupta’s official residence. Two of these luxurious bungalows are located on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg in Central Delhi, where both Delhi BJP office and BJP’s national headquarters are located. The third bungalow is on Rajpur Road in Civil Lines, North Delhi. Officials have confirmed that the repair work on these properties has been completed, and they were selected as an alternative only after finalizing this work.
A PWD official said that these bungalows were selected from the residential pool of the department but have not yet been finalized. These options will be presented to the new Chief Minister, who can personally inspect them and choose one. After approval from the General Administration Department (GAD), the selected bungalow will be officially allocated. The official said that when the Chief Minister will take his decision, there is no fixed deadline.
