The 5-match T20 series between India and England is going to start from January 22. The first match between the two teams will be played at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. England has announced its playing eleven for this match whereas Team India will announce its playing eleven before the match. But before that the big question is which player will get a chance in the playing eleven and who will have to sit out. BCCI’s selection committee has announced a 15-member team for this series but only 11 will get the chance.
Suryukmar Yadav will once again be seen captaining the 5-match T20 series against England. Most of the youth in the series have been given a chance. As far as the players who did not find a place in the playing eleven of the first T20 match are concerned, the first name that comes in it is Dhruv Jurel. He has been selected as the second wicketkeeper in the team. Before this, the wicket keeper will be Sanju Samson and he is sure to play.
Two opening batsmen have been selected for the series, the first name is Sanju Samson and the second is Abhishek Sharma. There is no third option. If Sanju Samson plays, he will also be seen performing the responsibility of keeping. In such a situation, the possibility that Dhruv Jurel will play as a batsman is very less. If we talk about the other player who did not get a place in the playing eleven, it could be Harshit Rana.
Whereas Team India can field with two bowlers. In this, the names of Mohammed Shami and Arshdeep Singh come first. On one hand, Shami is returning to international cricket after a long time. Arshdeep Singh has also been selected for the Champions Trophy, so he will have a better chance to find his rhythm. Hardik Pandya can play the role of third fast bowler, which means that Harshit Rana is not getting a chance.
Apart from this, two more players who can remain out of the playing eleven of this match can be Ravi Bishnoi and Washington Sundar. As far as the playing eleven of the team is concerned, there is every possibility that Axar Patel and Varun Chakraborty will be the first choice as spinners. Akshar Patel has been chosen as the vice-captain for this series, so it is certain that he will play. Varun Chakraborty has shown an amazing performance in recent times. Therefore, it seems certain that he will also play. There may not be any need for a third spinner. If Washington Sundar gets a chance as the third spinner, then Nitish Kumar Reddy may have to sit out. This will make the batting a little weak.
India’s probable playing eleven
Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma, Hardik Pandya, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Shami, Varun Chakraborty.
