According to a report published in The Indian Express, India wants to host the World Test Championship final and has also bid for it. The BCCI raised this demand by Arun Singh Dhumal, who is also sitting on the post of IPL chairman.
The first final of the World Test Championship was played in Hampshire, England in 2021. In that title collision, New Zealand won the trophy by defeating Team India by 8 wickets. The second final was played in 2023, hosted by The Oval ground in London. This time the Indian team was defeated by Australia by 209 runs in the final.
