The Sports Ministry had recently given approval to the visually impaired cricket team to tour Pakistan to participate in the T20 World Cup, but the Ministry of External Affairs did not give the green signal. According to India Today report, Indian Blind Cricket Association (IBCA) General Secretary Shailendra Yadav said that the Ministry of External Affairs did not give permission to go to Pakistan and asked him to withdraw from the tournament. He further said that, he has not yet received the official rejection letter from the government and he has been told verbally that he is not allowed to go to Pakistan.
Shailendra Yadav said that we were waiting for permission from the government to go to Pakistan for the last 25 days. Now we cannot wait any longer because the tournament is about to start. When I spoke to the Ministry of External Affairs on phone, they told that we will not be allowed to go to Pakistan. Told us that an official letter of non-approval will be given. However, no letter has been received yet.
