New Delhi. An important meeting of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) was held today at Urdu Ghar, New Delhi. The meeting was organized to commemorate the upcoming 23rd foundation day (24 December) of the forum. This program was presided over by the guide of the forum, Indresh Kumar. All the national coordinators of the forum, national coordinators of cells, co-convenors and senior officials were present in the meeting. The objective of the meeting was to formulate the upcoming strategy of the forum and to discuss issues of national importance. Prominent members attending the meeting included Mohammad Afzal, Dr. Shahid Akhtar, Abu Bakar Naqvi, Virag Pachpor, Dr. Majid Talikoti, Dr. Shalini Ali, Shahid Saeed, Syed Raza Hussain Rizvi, Hafiz Sabreen, Imran Chaudhary, Faiz Khan, and Shakir Hussain was mentioned.

Support of RSS chief’s views on temple-mosque dispute
In the meeting, the statement given by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat on the temple-mosque dispute was highly appreciated. Passing the resolution unanimously, the forum said that India should focus on development and harmony instead of getting entangled in temple-mosque disputes.
Praising Bhagwat’s statement in which he termed the activities of locating mosques under temples as unnecessary, the forum said the idea promotes brotherhood and unity among the 142 crore people of the country. The forum appealed to political parties to avoid taking political advantage of these issues and cooperate in maintaining peace in the society.
Message to Muslims of Sambhal and Bangladesh
Addressing the Muslims of Sambhal and Bangladesh, the forum appealed to openly consider the ideas of Mohan Bhagwat. The forum said that his views are not against any community, but to unite the society and strengthen India.
The forum expressed deep concern over the atrocities being committed against minorities in Bangladesh. The forum appealed to the Bangladesh government to ensure the protection of the rights of Hindus, Buddhists, and other minorities.
In sensitive areas like Sambhal, the forum appealed to Muslims to avoid conspiracies of political parties and maintain communal harmony.

Support of Waqf Board Amendment Bill
The meeting supported the Waqf Board Amendment Bill brought by the Central Government and described it as necessary for the development of Muslims and the country. The Forum stressed the need to stop looting and embezzlement of Waqf properties and suggested that widows, orphans and the needy be helped by ensuring proper management of these properties.
Call for national unity and brotherhood
In the meeting, the forum said that the unity and harmony of India should be celebrated like festivals. An appeal was made to the minorities to adopt a positive attitude and cooperate in nation building. The forum said that by adopting the policy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” Indian Muslims can become partners in the development of the country.
Discussion on upcoming plans
The meeting concluded by outlining the upcoming programs and plans of the forum. The forum resolved that it would remain active across the country in spreading awareness on national and social issues and would strive to make Indian Muslims participants in nation building.
