Tagore told ANI that this is an derogatory statement against the Supreme Court. Nishikant Dubey is a person who constantly destroys all other institutions. Now, he has attacked the Supreme Court.

Congress leader Manikam Tagore on Saturday termed Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nishikant Dubey’s statement on the Supreme Court and said that he was not attacking the top court. Tagore told ANI that this is an derogatory statement against the Supreme Court. Nishikant Dubey is a person who constantly destroys all other institutions. Now, he has attacked the Supreme Court. I hope that the judges of the Supreme Court will focus on this as they are speaking not in Parliament but outside Parliament. His attack on the Supreme Court is not acceptable.

Congress MP Imran Masood said that the alleged statement made by the BJP leader is “unfortunate”. Masood said, “The kind of statements that are coming against the Supreme Court are very unfortunate … This is not the first time that the Supreme Court has ruled against the government with absolute majority … This frustration is beyond comprehension.” This comment of the Congress leader came after Nishikant Dubey attacked the Supreme Court in a post in Hindi on Saturday.

Dubey wrote on X, “If the Supreme Court enacts a law, the Parliament House should be closed.” Earlier on April 17, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that there could not be a situation in India where the judiciary gives instructions to the President. He said that Article 142 of the Constitution has become a nuclear missile against democratic forces for the judiciary. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the sixth Rajya Sabha Internship program, Dhankhar proposed amendment to Article 145 (3), which relates to the bench structure required to decide on important questions of the constitutional law.
