The search operations on archaeological remains and remains of temples have completely disturbed the social harmony. Whatever happened in Sambhal is in front of everyone. Many people lost their lives. The team that had come to conduct a survey with the permission of the court on the claim of there being ‘Harihar Temple’ in the mosque there, was attacked and stone pelted heavily. The situation still remains delicate. Actually, this survey has been done on the orders of the court on the petition of 8 Hindu parties, which is being advocated by senior advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain. What will be achieved from the survey? Will the remains and existence of the temple really emerge from inside the mosque? Dr. Ramesh Thakur tried to get answers to all such questions from advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain.

Question: On the basis of what evidence do Hindu parties claim that there were temples in ancient times instead of mosques and dargahs?
All the evidence is logical and full of reality. It is written in page number 687 of ‘Baburnama’ that how the temple in Sambhal was converted into a mosque. The mosque was built by Babur’s servant Mir Beg in 1529. Apart from this, there is also a clear mention in page number 281 of ‘Aine-e-Akbari’ that how ‘Hari Mandal Temple’ was converted into a mosque. At the same time, another evidence has emerged from the ASI report of 1879 in which there is ample evidence of the existence of a temple. His report states that the pillars of the mosque were made in the shape of a temple. Sambhal was scattered into small islands. The entire area still bears testimony to Dr. Ramesh Thakur.

Question: What will be achieved by the campaign to find temples in mosques?
It would be better to call it a campaign to expose lies from the dark chapter. India is the tradition of the eternal land. Foreigners came and invaded here, destroyed our culture, demolished temples and forcibly constructed mosques. Despite everyone knowing this reality, they remain ignorant. I openly say in every cross-examination of the court that if there is no fear then let the survey be done without opposition. If the archaeological stories of temples do not emerge from mosques, we ourselves will be left behind. The opposition of the survey teams shows that there is ‘something black in the pulse’. One more thing is emerging from the survey that what is going to happen in India in the future? Foreign powers are bent on making India an Islamic country at any cost. Some people have also followed his footsteps.
Question: Your fight seems less like a court fight and more like a religious war?
Look, I am doing my work as a lawyer. I don’t care what anyone thinks? As far as you talked about religious war, no one is invited for it, anyone whose conscience is awakened and feels alive will himself jump into this fight. We expect the same from journalists like you, come together and save our heritage. This is the time when all Sanatanis should come out of their homes carrying the tricolor flag. We have to revive our existence, the time has come to get back with interest those who once snatched something from us. Such a golden opportunity will never come again.
Question: How can there be a Sanatani chapter in a mosque where Namaz has been being offered for decades?
Does offering Namaz make a place a mosque? The country’s big Jama Masjids were once temples. Babar, Shahjahan, Mughals and their predecessors had selectively targeted these places. Now is the time to free him. I have presented factual evidence and evidence in the court as to how the mosque in Sambhal used to be a temple. Even during the cross-examination at Gyanvapi, I had said that there is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of our beloved Lord Mahadev there, which was proved to be true in the survey. A similar picture will emerge in Sambhal also.
Question: Why did the controversy arise regarding Sambhal Masjid?
Everyone knows that Lord Vishnu will take his next incarnation as Lord Kalki. The old name of Sambhal was ‘Sambhalapur’. As for the controversy, was all this part of a well-planned conspiracy and nothing else? If law and order had not been maintained, the situation could have worsened. See, in the Sambhal Masjid case, the Supreme Court had already issued an important order saying that the survey report will not be made public at the moment and it will be kept safe in a sealed envelope. The court had also given an opportunity to the Muslim side to challenge the order of the lower court in the High Court. Despite this he did not adopt legal remedy. Actually, they know the truth, they do not want a survey? There was a disturbance regarding Gyanvapi also, later everyone calmed down, the same will happen in Sambhagyal also. When the survey report will be made public, they will also become aware of the harsh reality. The Mosque Committee and the Muslim side have complete freedom to file the petition. He could have gone to court, his case would also have been listed. But, he showed no interest?
